These questions are collected from many sources over the internet.

1. Several co-workers would like to know their average salary. How can they calculate it, without disclosing their own salaries?


2. A finite number of points are drawn on the plane. Each is coloured black or white. Between (on the line joining them ) every two black points there is a white point and every two white points there is a black point.

Prove that the points must all lie on a straight line - i.e. cannot have this structure extending into 2 or more dimensions.


3. 12 balls, one is different (either heavier or lighter but you dont know which). you can use oldfashioned two arm scales to weigh the balls but you can only use this 3 times, and each time the scales can only hold a max of 6 balls (i.e. a max of 3 balls in each of the two weighing buckets).

How can you find out which is the odd one, AND whether it is lighter or heavier than the rest????

2) Nếu chỉ có không quá hai điểm đen hoặc hai điểm trắng thì ok. Nếu giả sử có 3 điểm đen ko thẳng hàng, trong tam giác tạo bởi 3 điểm này có một tam giác trắng, cứ như vậy có tiếp 1 tam giác đen, v.v... ==> vô hạn điểm.
