Default Vietnamese quant stars?

I don’t know much about the Vietnamese quant community, but I know there are some Vietnamese quant stars [who are not yet in this forum ] that fellows in this forum [like me] would be beneficial if the forum can attract them. Let me list those I’ve heard of:

1. Vuong Quan Hoang (http://www.empirics.net/hoangvq/)
2. A guy [...Long?] who is recently working in Goldman Sachs (sorry, I can’t remember his name. If anyone knows, please introduce him to the forum)
3. please add those you know…

We should also have someone who is working in the HASTC and HOSE exchanges, someone who are working in the securities companies…

So, if the admin and moderators could write them invitations, it would be great.
Thanks.

Btw, I don’t see DCFC visit our forum frequently?

I hesitate to call anyone above *star*. But anyway, please recommend all people, togetther with some information, you want to invite. We're happy to send invitations (as long as the recommendations don't look too silly, e.g. ca sĩ Mỹ Tâm).

I work as a quant and I know a few Vnese friends working at GS and other IB but i wouldn't want to call anyone star. We probably prefer to keep a low profile

DCFC is spending most of his time on Wilmott so if you see him posting on various forums, most likely he won't visit much.

it is great to learn that there are many Vietnamese quants in big IBs these days and to see many people are joining the forum (both experts and beginners)

it is probably inappropriate to call them 'star' but I really wish to see more experts in the forum such that there won't be many no-replied posts

Stars are ones that either (1) makes a few million bucks a year for him/herself (that is, making 10 times as much for his/her firm; Phillip Khuong Huu is one supernova, pocketing 40 mm for himself in 2005; Simon is a quasar) on a constant basis (that is, not just by luck alone); or (2) a renowned quant with significant works (like Derman or Carr; Derman's work on variance swaps is an achievement, e.g.)

A quant can have important works that may be proprietary => zero-star or dark matter status. Even if not proprietary, revealing the secrets is no incentivized. Bragging right is not what a star fights for.
